Name: Blastoise (Green’s)

Personality: Incredibly laid back but fierce when provoked, Blastoise is a tank to be reckoned with in the battlefield. He might LOOK lazy, but he quietly calculates and observes his opponent in battle before attacking. His dual water cannons are is most salient features when one first sees him fighting, since he can use them both as attack and recovery. His defense is also pretty solid as his shell.

Despite this, he is very nice to his closest friends – and definitely the Green Team as a whole – and will defend them if need be. But from the three aforementioned Green Team members, he is the most independent, often leaving the group at times to train alone and such. These absences sometimes irk the rest of the team since he does this at random. To anyone outside of the Green team family, he is polite and calm. Annoying the hell out of him even with his large patience meter can cause issues, however.

His hobbies are surfing, water polo…any water sport that involves some sort of roughhousing. (Only non-water sports he really likes is wrestling) During spars, he prefers to fight with worthy rivals, yet he is willing to help younger students (especially Bulba) out if they have difficulty.

Relationships with Team: With Green, Blastoise considers him very good trainer – after many months of having a large grudge for capturing him – and respects him. He will do anything Green wishes (within reason). Even after all the battles and adventures both went through, Blastoise takes some liberty in doing whatever he wants out of the battle stage.

With Char, Blastoise takes this punk incredibly un-seriously. Due to the former’s hot temper and irksome personality, Blastoise enjoys “cooling” him down by drenching him – without KILLING him – or by pushing him around roughly until Char gets tired of it and huffs off. Despite this big-brotherly and condescending like attitude, Blastoise DOES help Char get stronger by giving him a few pointers, of which Char claims that never works (but Char still uses them anyway).

With Bulba, Blastoise really is fond of the little guy since he reminds Blastoise of his younger self. That Bulba adores him further strengthens their bond. Whenever Bulba needs help, Blastoise is more than willing to help. He often gives him piggyback rides and plays with him whenever both are bored.

Backstory: When he was a Squirtle, he was part of a rowdy gang Squirtle Squad HAHA that pestered nearby townspeople. Since he had been abandoned by a trainer who took him in as a starter (the trainer was did not want to even go on the Pokemon adventure and disappointed the starter Pokemon), he was more than willing to get back at the kind who spurned him. Out of the 5 stray Squirtles, he fought his way to be the strongest, and evolved into a Wartortle.

From that point, he was tired of trying to be a rowdy punk and moved closer to the shores of Kanto. There, he saw a variety of water Pokemon to intermingle and fight with. There with hard training and discipline, the water turtle evolved to his final form. Now utilizing his newfound powers, mainly due to his newly gained hydro cannons, he made himself well known in Cinnibar Island to be the toughest water Pokemon around. The volcanic island’s rough terrain also made him especially strong against any harsh conditions.

During one of his training sessions – which involved surfing and trying to break the newly formed lava stones that spewed from the Cinnibar Volcano – he encountered Green and his gang. Green, seeing Blastoise smash the hot-glowing boulders with ease, wanted to catch him and gave chase with Char and Bulbasaur. And because they were weaker than him, Blastoise easily defeated and escaped them.

But things took turn for the worse when the Bulba got trapped in the flow due to his reckless chasing. Char, on the other hand, had passed it with ease and accidentally forgot about the other team member. As Blastoise saw this, he remembered how reckless Blastoise had been in the past and did not want to needlessly injure any one of these pursuers. So by risking himself from burns, he got Bulba – and then Char, since he went too far and was trapped on a seaside cliff – to safety. Then on a more appropriate field to battle in, namely the Cinnibar Beach, Blastoise gave the Green team a fair fight…and he was captured.

Afterwards, he still acted up and did not listen to Green for a while…since he wanted to improve himself and did not think as a team. But this all changed when he faced Red’s team. Seeing his first defeat got him more motivated to help his team improve - indirectly. And they did, and Blastoise enjoyed the many wins he garnered from the efforts. So by attending sumabura, he wanted to further this goal so that the Green team would arguably the best in all of the Pokemon World.

Anything Else?: He’ll be in his fat Poke-form until he attends a humanization class…unless Char or Bulba got some TMs for him to use so he can be human. BTW, his human form has one mechanical water-pump arm.

He is sometimes a bit slow on things…but he dismisses and learned from these errors and will hit any punk who insults him for it. (HINT: CHAR IS BLAST'S PERPETUAL PUNCHING BAG)

When injured, he usually shrugs it off. Unfortunately he does not notice the fatality of many of his wounds until he faints in battle.

He can be incredibly stubborn when it comes to choosing between doing something he hates and continuing what he wants to do. Green sometimes dislikes this.

Blast’s move-set is Ice Beam, Surf, Hydro Cannon, and Rock Slide.
